Tsarist Trakt

18.03.2017 Carska Droga is a route from Laskowiec to Goniądz, about 35 km long. It leads through a number of different landscapes. Starting from Laskowiec, we enter wet, swampy alders interwoven with reeds from time to time, then we reach a vast clearing where sedges and vegetation of low moors dominate with here and there complexes of birch and willow. Going further, the road begins to get more and more dense, bushes, trees and rushes appear more and more. We pass two more stopping and viewing points - the lookout tower on Swamp Benches and then the Honczarowska Causeway. On the way to the next viewpoint, which is the town of Gugny, in the surrounding landscape, coniferous pine and spruce trees are beginning to appear more and more often, however, we are surrounded by the ubiquitous swamp. Passing the Dobarz Manor, where we can stop for dinner or overnight, we reach another place closely connected with Tsar's Road, which is Uroczysko Barwik. Almost to the end, the Tsar's Route will surround the forest. The probability of meeting elk on the route is very high.
