Saint Mountain Grabarka has been the goal of Orthodox pilgrimages for many, many years. The most important ceremony takes place there on August 19. According to reports, in 1710 an outbreak of cholera was raging in Podlasie. An old man dreamed that people would find help on a nearby mountain. So, in the escape from illness, people brought with them wooden crosses and drank and washed with water from the spring at the foot of the mountain. In thanks to God for saving him, a wooden Orthodox church of the Transfiguration was built here - a place of Orthodox worship. The church burned down in 1990. The new one was built in 1998 and is already brick.
