Address: Hajnówka , Puszcza Białowieska
Narrow-gauge railway running in the Białowieża Forest. Built in 1916–1957. The building was started by the Germans during World War I. Currently, the queue is of a tourist nature. A leisurely ride on the cableway allows us to admire the nature of one of the last natural forests of primary nature in Europe. You can see, among others, oak being a nature monument and part of the sphagnum forest. Rail transport is organized by the Hajnówka Forest District. The three-hour cableway runs all the time through the Białowieski forest and small clearings. The queue runs at a speed of 15km / h. Mainly diesel locomotives are used to transport tourists, but at the Hajnówka and Topało stations you can admire the historic steam locomotives. This unique rolling stock also includes stake wagons and a lumber platform. At the Hajnówka Wąskotorowa station there is a historic steam locomotive from 1918 of the Brigadelok type for transporting wood together with wagons, a station building with a cash register, toilets, station platform and a shed above the platform. Tourists have access to two narrow-gauge railway routes: from Hajnowka to Topil (11 km) or from Hajnowka to Postołowo (6 km). To be able to travel a longer route, a group of at least 40 people must gather.
