A private open-air museum in Białowieża, located in the former village of Kropiwnik, destroyed by the Nazis during World War II. The museum presents wooden buildings from the Podlasie region. In his collection there are nine objects, some of them made available for sightseeing, some have been adapted for tourists. Each of the buildings perfectly harmonizes with the surrounding nature, which makes a walk around the museum is an interesting experience. The development of the institution began with the windmill-koźlak, brought to Białowieża in 1978. He comes from the village of Kotły near Bielsko Podlaski. The museum was decided to open to tourists in 2004, after bringing other objects included in today's exhibition. Due to the private nature of the object and the voluntary nature of its operation, it is open on holidays and long weekends. The monuments presented in the open-air museum include: - a straw hut from the village of Biała, - a windmill koźlak covered with shingles, - Majsternia, - Stodola, - Banya (sauna), - Cross commemorating the 1000th anniversary of the baptism of Kievan Rus, - Hut from the village of Klejniki, - Hut from the village of Czyżyki, - Orthodox chapel dedicated to Saint. Alexander Nevsky.
