The Bialowieza National Park Nature and Forest Museum presents the nature and history of the forest as well as centuries-old human activity in this area. It exhibits the most characteristic forest communities for the Forest: oak-hornbeam, alder, alluvial, coniferous forest, boreal swamp spruce. Underground life in the forest, invertebrates, ungulates and predatory mammals and birds are presented. The world of animals and plants associated with the earth and water environment, phases of wood decomposition and the richness of fungi were also introduced. The historical part shows beekeeping, haymaking, processing of wood into turpentine and a narrow-gauge forest railway. Multimedia accessories, floor shape, dim lights, day and night effects, sounds of the Forest mean that after crossing the exhibition threshold it seems that we are in the middle of the forest. The museum also organizes temporary exhibitions. The permanent exhibition at the Museum can be visited individually and in groups, with a guide or with an audio-guide.
